Scopus is a bibliographic database containing abstracts and citations for academic journal articles. It covers over 22,000 titles from over 5,000 publishers, 20,000 of which are peer reviewed journals in the fields of science, technical, medical and social sciences (including arts and humanities).  It is owned by Elsevier and can be accessed online through a subscription package. The search in Scopus also covers the search for a patent database.
